Gages

I have a 2001 V-10,I'm haveing a problem with.After driving foe 30 min. to an hour the gages peg out (truck is not running hot)and truck cuts power.I can restart and drive a little futher ,gages are back in normal range.Has anybody got any ideas as to whats going on ,

You might need a new battery. Batteries that worn low or "worn down" can do weird things.

I'm not an expert, but it sounds like an electrical short (or poor connection) causing the computer to lose power. I've noted when I disconnect the battery and reconnect it after a while the gauges will peg (and you lose all your radio stations). You may want to ensure your grounding wire is securely connected and it has good contact with the frame.
