engine cut out

engine cut out
I have a 89 f-250 with 5.8 litre that cuts out at 3200 rpm, its like the fuel is cutting out.
Any ideas where to start?
I traded a 76 f-150 for it and was excited to get some electronics, needless to say the excitment is gone.
