Tranny Fluid

I have a 96 F250, 2wd, with the e4od auto. The pan is maybe 3 inches deep (estimate). I installed a used transimission, with a torque converter that seemed to be full, and I don't know how much atf to add. The book says 15.7 qts, but the computer at napa said 6.4--huge difference. Does anyone know?

I would drain it all out and change the filter and put new tranny fluid in...the 15.7 quarts sounds right to me

the low number is just for a pan drain and filter replace.

the high number include the fluid in the convertor.
