Black smoke
My truck has just started making black smoke on acceleration. I had a remanufactured turbo and a new egr about 8000 miles ago. I have about 64k on the motor now. The truck has normal power until 23 lbs of boost. It normally will make 28 lbs. At 23 lbs the truck will not accelerate any more and feels like it loses power. My air filter is clean. Could the egr do this or does it sound more like sticking turbo vanes? I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow but if anybody has some suggestions that I could pass along to the service department it would be appreciated. Thanks,
