PS conversion question

I'll ask this here too seems how it's not year specific.

I'm getting ready to finish installing a power steering setup in my 1970 F100. I just had one question...I have two pullies for the swap. One is for the water pump and the other is for the crankshaft. Can I get away with just running the power steering pump off of the water pump or do I have to have it run off of the crankshaft? TIA

I dont see why it wouldnt work but why dont you do it like the stock setups. Goes around crank, water pump & power steering.

Doing that would wear your water pump out toute' suite

The crankshaft is the DRIVE polley.
The water pump pulley just goes along for the ride.

But it should be alright for at the most a week until I do get a bottom double groove pulley right?
