A little help please
Just purchased a hopkins towing solutions trailer adapter: rv blade to 4 wire flat with 12 volt socket (part # 47675). The 12 volt socket only has power when the engine is running. I bought this for a trip I'm taking so I could plug in a 12 volt cooler in the truck bed and leave it on even when the truck is parked for the night. Any solutions? Thanks in advance, Chris. (Beautiful Lake of the Ozarks Missouri).

Sounds like you need to tap into a battery line. I would take it right from the engine compartment and run it right under and up into the truck's bed. Don't let it drain out your battery all night though. You'd be stuck in the AM.

Look for the trailer tow charge relay and use something to jump between the blades so it has power at all times.
Like Phwlee said though, realize you are taking a risk of having a dead truck battery in the morning.
