How do I remove my ECU????
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-Sep-02 AT 07:53 AM (EST)]I have a 1999 F150 w/ the 4.2L in it. I am trying to install a Diablo Chip in it. I can't figure out how to remove my ECU. I have it loose, but I think there is a bolt holding the wiring harness on. Is there a way to pull it out enough so I can get that bolt out? Thanks for all your help, Brent

We include instructions with the chips we send out. If they were not included, please give me your invoice number and a fax number and I'll have them faxed to you.

I purchased the chip online, but I don't believe I bought it from you guys. My fax # is 863-299-6776

Any reputable dealer will provide you with instructions specific to your vehicle and provide service for you when you have questions such as this. A dealer that doesn't provide vehicle specific installation information (as opposed to Diablo's generic instructions) probably isn't very experienced. This is something to consider when you purchase from someone and have to seek support from another dealer (you also used our MotorHaven.com contact page to ask this) --- did you really get your money's worth?
