What are X-springs and how much do they lift the front?

What are X-springs and how much do they lift the front?
I've heard of some trucks haven't "X-springs" on the front maybe for a snow plow package or something? How much does it lift the front of the truck and does anyone have a part number and know how much they cost?

As far as i know the X springs are the same height just a lot stiffer and can support and extra 1300 lbs.
