Hello iablo sport chip question

Hello awhile back i purchased a diablo Sport chip for my 99 f-250 5.4 ltr SD. Ive talked to some guys who instead of removing the computer unit they just pulled the batter for the chip installation. What side effects woudl that cause. Like woudl they not experience the same powe gains as i do with mine? Please let me know i really didnt have much i could tell them about that and i would like to. lol
Thanks S

Hello iablo sport chip question

The accessory port connector needs to have the conformal coating removed from the connector and then clean the connector with an included alcohol pad. I guess it could be done with the computer box still in the truck but it would be pretty darn hard to do and nearly impossible to inspect your work.

If you're going to install a chip, its worth it to take the extra 15 minutes to do it right. :-)
