After running this issue in my head for a few hours...
I want to swap the ugly XL "pushed inside" headlights in my truck (2007 XL - see signature) to any type of flush smooth glass/plastic type.
Will the cheaper 99-04 fit my truck or will I need the newer 05-07?
harness and mechanics need to fit.
I dont have a dealer here in israel i can check with as the XL is the only sd psd imported..
so i need to internationally order without the option to get it wrong and replace...
i would think they would be a direct swap for 05-07 headlights as far as mounting goes. im not too sure about the wiring since the xl style has different lights in it. those dfuser guys know much more and should beable to help
Hey your truck looks great! I see your getting your bumper painted, have you ever thought of getting it Line-xed, I had my front bumper done and it looks awesome., and it will hold up better than paint. They can color match to your rig as-well. look into it.

I would go with the 05/07 better light over all from the previous 99-03 systems. We can provide you with a complete headlight and harness with all the parts you need to convert the XL over. This includes headlights, harness, screws and clips.
I don't have any relationship with dfuser other than as a customer, but his upgraded harness did make a serious difference for me in light output. Good mod for the $$.
Speaking of Grills, you can get it painted in Gun-Metal and it would look awesome on that black truck. I have one that I painted black and planning on adding it to my 99 Red CC.
I did the complete front end conversion on the wifes Ex:
As you can see in the pictures, the foglights fit perfectly in there from the previous 2001 bumper. The mounts for the fogs is unique to the new bumper.
yea i can definitely state that the wiring harness improved light output dramatically! and their shipping was VERY fast, took about two days. now i just need to buy the upper screw mounting kit but i dont know if i wanna toss 20-30 bucks on a couple screws.. overall though EXCELLENT company!

The 4 SS Screws, 4 clips and 4 SS washers are only $10 delivered.
Really?? my mistake i could of sworn they were alot more, im losin it man. well ill take one then.
EDIT:
oh geez now i see it, i was looking at the overnight price for something else under it. So i just bought one, thanks for pointing that out! i wanted to buy it but the price i thought it was, was alot for a kit and i was just going to suffer and figure out the pieces myself. However for 10 bucks thats pretty damn fair.
Thanks again man

the only problem with the dfuser harness is that for some reason, on mine, the high beam relay keeps taking a crap. low beams are fine. if i unplug it and switch the relay, it works once and then quits. un til i unplug it again, then it works once more, then the cycle continues. any suggestions? i got it from puredieselpower.com. i am to the point where i am going to rip it off.
