Was replacing all the gaskets difficult? I'm hoping I can simply unbolt all the covers etc. and just replace. I have my 56 tranny w/OD sitting on a cart and wish to do the same thing?
Yours looks great!
well,
it's long story but i currently have 2 PTO's and i can't get either to work, just wrong spline/gear mesh........
i've not dropped the idea, but i'm not looking for one at the moment.
have moved on to the rear axle build. i also am going dually (changed from a Dana 70 i have to a Sterling)
this is a newer tranny than our trucks came with, i'm not specifically familiar with the older trannys, but most the gaskets are straight forward. the gasket for the input housing/bearing retainer might require the correct thickness gasket/s so the input bearing is not preloaded or to loose.
i'd ask someone more familiar about that trannys specifics...
