Exclamation Another exhaust question

Hello everyone. I have a 07 5.4 and was thinking about putting true duals all the way back. I have thinking about using magnaw flow for performance and not as loud. Also I have been reading and some people say that true duals will make you lose torque? Or about using a H pipe?? Also by doing true duals will there be enough back pressure and not make the check engine light turn on? If I wrote anything incorrect let me know. Any info and advise. please help.

true duals will not rob you of power as long as you dont go to big 2.25 duals should be good, a Hpipe will help with low end torque and will also quiet it down a little, backpressure should be a concern as you need none

So True duals should be ok. I want the power. But I heard you can lose low end torque. Has anyone put duals all the way on the 5.4. I am also worried about the check engine light. What does a h pipe do?

If your worried about loseing low end power than you can go with a single in dual out muffler.

i'm not sure of the reason of loss , if any, of low end torque but you asked about the H pipe...its there for balancing or equilizing the exhaust flow. (from side to side) ... paul...BTW...you prob. wont notice much diff in true duals in todays trucks. I'd just go with SIDO.

I really dont see how dual exhaust out the rear robs you off low end torque if anything its probably increased it for my on my 1993

True duals lack the backpressure that is supposed to help low end torque.

Do u get more in cabin noise with exhaust pipes coming out the rear or both pipes to the side behind the rear wheel?

If the windows are down then you would be able to hear the ones coming out the sides better, but if the windows are up then you hear the muffler itself mostly.

true duals will make you lose low end torque. They decrease back pressure. Our 5.4 motor LIVES in the lower RPMs to make its 365lb ft of torque.
Go with a single input dual out muffler. Flowmaster will lose the most torque. But I just installed a flowmaster 40 on my truck, it sounds great and I cant tell the torque difference.
