Odd Tire Wear
I just got a new set of tires for my '95 F-150 Long Bed 2WD 4.9L. Looking at the old tires I noticed that the tread is worn low in the middle of tire, but not so much on the outer edge. I've heard that it can do this because of over inflation but I'm usually between 32 and 35 PSI so over inflation is not the issue. I don't haul any heavy loads either. Any ideas on what else can cause this?

I don't know of any other way for a tire to wear more in the middle than being bulged out from too much air. Did you try 2-3 different gauges? They aren't always real accurate.
Tire pressure should always be checked cold too.......I usually check mine on saturday or sunday mornings after it sits all night.

Its all in rim size and brand of tires .I check mine all time and one brand will wear best at say 27 LBs instead of 35 lbs. And another at 40 +lbs . So just check tires if wearing in middle let some air out. I drive 20000+ mile year and thats what I do. Good luck

when your tires are fairly knew and it is hard to tell how they are waring you can use your dial caliper the depth gage on the end to See vary minute amounts of ware and then adjust your air.
