Sudden trouble

What is the SPOUT connector? I did not remove or disconnect any thing. The emissions label says 10 degrees. During the test when the engine revved the timing advanced to about 27-33 degrees.<O

When I replaced the plugs the gap was already set between 40 and 45 (closer to 45) 42-46 is the recommended setting so I just left them alone. The auto parts store did the look up for the plugs for me. When I pulled the old plugs out they were the same as the new ones. (Autolite 765 - I think). I live in Missouri the truck was originaly sold in California (in '86). I purchased it in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comMissouri, the truck was originally sold in <st1:State w:st=" />Mass. but it had a Missouri title so I think the last time the plugs were changed it was in Missouri.
