Sorry the EGR valve code was #33 (EGR valve not closing properly). (I did also get a #25 code.) This was my first test so I wasn't comfortable with revving the engine or turning the wheel.

<O</OWhat is the SPOUT connector? I did not remove or disconnect any thing. The emissions label says 10 degrees. During the test when the engine revved the timing advanced to about 27-33 degrees.

<O</OWhen I replaced the plugs the gap was already set between 40 and 45 (closer to 45) 42-46 is the recommended setting so I just left them alone. The auto parts store did the look up for the plugs for me. When I pulled the old plugs out they were the same as the new ones. (Autolite 765 - I think).

I live in Missouri the truck was originaly sold in California (in '86). I purchased it in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comMissouri</st1:State>, the truck was originally sold in <st1:State w:st=" /><st1:State w:st="on">Mass.</st1:State> but it had a <st1:State w:st="on">Missouri</st1:State> title so I think the last time the plugs were changed it was in <st1:State w:st="on">Missouri.</st1:State>

The spout connector is found in the engine Bay passenger side of engine in the wiring harness. IT runs near the valve cover gasket on my B2 and is just a black plug that you pull out when setting timing etc. Goodluck!
