as long as you've got a guage to check, try it . If you have too much pressure immedietly shut down and go back to shim that gave you 65PSI. The shim I used was a .065 and I have 70PSI. Rampage used a .050 and got 70PSI. YOUR RESULTS WILL VARY.
I checked my FPR pryor to installing the shims and it read 58 psi. So I chose to use the 065 as my first install and got 65psi. Then I installed the 075. The FPR didn't change it stayed at 65 psi. So I left the 075 inplace. It seems that the condition of the fuel pump will also have an affect on the FPR reading's were seeing. I need a knew Pump! Country
My FP is not stock. The stock quit about 25000 miles ago. I replaced it with a Bosch from NAPA. I only have less than 65000 miles on the truck. I think I will try the .075 shim and see what it will do. By the way I do have a guage so I can watch the pressure.
no, there are two plugs in the back of the fuel bowl you can use to set up a guage. They come out with an allen and a #8 O-ring boss fits the plug hole. Go to a hydraulic shop and get the O-ring boss, maybe a couple bucks, then you can usually find what ever other fitting you need to match up to the guage at the hardware store.
