This might be a different idea

This idea might not be a good one, but i was thinking, can you change out the cooling system from a 450 or 450 into a 350. I was also thinking that the bigger trucks would require more cooling cap, as they are expected to tow more, right? just looking for thoughts from you guys on this.

you wouldnt because the intercooler inlet/outlet hug the side of the radiator.

oh and one more thing i was thinking about was a way to wire the fan to the upfitters. It would act like a selector switch in a big rig (auto fan/manual fan) If the switch was off, the fan would be controled by the computer, and in the on position, it would run constantly. any thoughts on this idea as well?

I think the idea is valid from a practicality stance but that's why you have the computer controlling the fan. Why would you run the fan if it's not needed?

I would run the fan just to get a jump on things, like before you hit that huge hill with that big trailer on a real hot day. It would be kinda cool (no pun intended) to be able to hit the fans when i want to, a peace of mind thing i guess.

2005 Ford, I read your post... You are currently suffering from M.M.M.M.S. (Mad Man's Mod Mania Syndrome) I am sorry to inform you this is a psychological disorder for which there is no known cure. Symptoms may only be treated by a wife or budget that won't allow you to continue with these thoughts. I speak as one who suffers from same. Good Luck.

Why I pull at 25k and over 10,600 foot mountains and have never over heated, not even moved off of normal, why would you want a bigger radiator or more cooling?
I also live in the high desert so it does get hot here.

See my gallery for the trailer size.

Yours must be built a little better then mine because my stock guage has a tendancy to climb to well over 3/4, lol, and they tell me that it is normal.
