Transmission Gauge

Well I got my transmission temperature gauge installed and now I need some input about temps. I have a 2001 PSD 7.3L 4 speed (4R100) transmission with 4.10 gears. What should I expect when towing (8,000lbs)? Right now (without camper) it reads about 170 when I do a lot of start and stop driving in town on a hot day. When I run on the highway at 60 mph I’m getting about 165. When should you start to worry about temperature when you are towing in the mountains?
