Post Chip or microtuner
Ken, I have a 2000 F250SD with powerstroke and auto trans; computer code NVK5. Truck is used 60% to tow 7500# fiver. Considering chip or microtuner but don't know much about either. Am interested in how they affect trans shifting or if both do. Any info to get me thinking in right direction appreciated.

Get the tuner and keep it at the low setting. You'll be very happy with it.... yes, it does firm up the shifting.
