Simple tranny fluid question
Hello all,
I need to add trans fluid to my C6 (76-78 not sure which year the trans is) and was wondering if it needs type F or Dexron. If I remember correctly Ford switched to Dexron, but I don't remember when. I am thinking type F, but want to be sure before I put it in.

I guess I will have to check the dipstick, as the truck is a '76 but the engine is a '78. So I don't know if this is a '78 trans or a '76, or even a '77 for that matter.
