Finding the VIN
I just purchased a '91 Bronco that had a salvage title only due to its being stolen in '99. The VINs on the dash and door panel have been removed and there is none in the glove compartment. I've scraped myself all over trying to remove the grime from the frame to find the frame VIN, does anybody know where exactly the VIN will be in the frame of a '91 Bronco? I can't see it looking on the left or right side of the frame next to the front wheels when looking through the engine compartment which is where I've heard it may be. Anyone know anything more specific?

ShinyThing...here is another helpful place...at least for the 86 I have. I was able to find the entire manufacturers build spec sheet (which includes the VIN) underneath the carpet on the driver side. You would just need to pull the front seat out and pull the carpet up on that side (20 minutes max). The other spot is underneath the rear carpet. the spec sheet located there (for me) was in really bad shape. The spec sheet will give you tons of info besides the VIN. Good luck!
