Wow, $115 for a filter, housing, and some hose with connectors?? Would think you can go to napa and piece it all together for $50. Then you would have an easy source for replacement filters.

I did the kit shown above. No regrets on the purchase. Everything you need is there and you don't have multiple trips to the parts store.

having just done the hutch mod, that filter kit is very nice. You can however save by piecing it yourself (but they take so much of the leg work out of it) so it comes down to wether or not you want to run around or just spend the money

As recommended by Dennis. I installed the kit at the first of the year. I am gonna change the stock filter pretty soon just for *****s and grins. I bet its going to be clean as a whistle. I'll post pics of it when I do.

I installed the kit. Drove a few hundred miles and then changed my factory filter. How often should I change factory filter from now on?

Does anyone have the part number for the filter head? I've been looking every where and can't seem to find it.

I, too, am a proud owner/installer of the ITP kit. I went the extra mile and installed a Carter fuel lift pump as well.

The Carter pump install was not a "kit" install, meaning that I had to locate the material for and fab an additional mounting bracket, locate & purchase all the encessary wire and wiring connectors and relay switch, design a waterproof box in which to house all the undercab wiring connections, and then install the "home made kit".

Compare the the ITP in-tank kit. I had to drop my tank, follow the detailed instructions, install the parts, and remount the tank. Everything was there! The SS tubing was already the right length with the right bends. Not even one single trip to the store to install the ITP kit, compared to about 4 different trips to various combinations of Home Depot and parts supply stores for my "lift pump kit".

Go with ITP... it's worth every penny for the the simplicity!

I changed the OEM filter after 10K on the Baldwin prepump filter from ITP. the old filter looked just like the new one.
