'99 Ford F-150
I was trying to install a remote start and not my power door locks won't work. I checked the relay but how do I tell if it's bad? The only thing I can think of is maybe I pulled on the wires to help tug the harness out. Please give me a list of things it could be. I don't even here a clicking sound when I press the locks/unlocks.
If there is another relay in the panel that is like the one for the locks, then switch them around for the purpose of determining if the relay is bad. When you were installing this kit, where were you working, under the dash, or hood. More interested in where the tugging on the wiring was done. BTW, the clicking you are not hearing is not a relay, it is a circuit breaker. There is a circuit breaker in each of the door lock actuators. You could have a simple coincidental failure of the lock actuators. Good luck!
