I'm here in Billings down by the KOA. I wasn't able to get out to Acton today, (I had to work), but I sure want to get out there next weekend. I'd love to enter my truck, but I know it's limitations and those limits are usually at the 25 25 mark, 25' out and 25' down!
Next year though, (after the wedding and with my fiancee's approval), the truck is going to get a 4" lift with 35's, a SAS, a Detroit locker for the rear and a new NP435 tranny.
Hoss is my 86 F-250, check out my gallery. The KOA is at the 27th St. exit off the highway. I live in a really quiet area that's got a lot of creatures in it. The best part is, I'm only 2 blocks from the Yellowstone River.
ya nice truck i like it i had a 84 i believe first truck I6 but new paint it was cool so later i opted for the 74 i have now for 750$ ya it would be cool to live by the river i have sportsmans out here where we go screw around at. you have a clue where i could get a set of 35's to borrow for the 23rd?
on the auto tranny and the mud, on;y run em if you got the power to keep the tries spinning without bogging down, as in you need at least 400hp in the deep stuff to make them worth while, i can **** a my manual just in the deep stuff better than the guys with the same power (drags is a completely different story, i also have a short shifter built for my 435 too) Its to bad you're in billings cause i was in conrad (just north of great falls) and theres a number of events in the area (dutton, shelby, conrad is having another as far as i know, milk river alberta just 10 minutes north of the border, um theres another in havre i think and also one in cleveland, just southeast of havre). Most are fairly well run and are usually pretty fun to compete at, theres some pretty sicks trucks that show up to.
You MT guys ever see the rail name rootin 'n juicin? That thing is frickin wicked, even if it is chevy powered.
never seen that one yet what is it. runs in the mud bogs? y ai have family in havre and i saw the ad for the bogs in Dutton. i would like to see a pic of that rootin n' juicin
