Under the Cab Noise
Just some info to share, somebody else may have this problem. Had a noise - thunking - under the driver's side cab. Wouldn't always happen, but was consistent on bumpy roads. Looked for months and couldn't find anything loose. Was under the truck the other day with the emergency brake off, back-end was jacked off the ground. Accidently hit the brake cable and guess what, there was the noise. The connector from the foot brake to the intermediate cable would bounce onto the cab frame support. Put a piece of 3/8 inch hose over the coupling and used a tie-wrap to loosely secure the cable to the forward rear-spring bracket. Noise gone. Nice quiet truck again. Hope this helps someone else.
