Well I called joe, the owner of this '88. He was first enthralled that I hunt wild hogs with only a couple 2 or 3 dogs and tie them up alive and carry no gun which came up when saying I have a 4X4 f-150 but would like a nicer one for daily driving. Then on to the truck the discussion went... He stated it was too nice to take off into the woods runnin down missin dogs but I already knew that! He explained how cherry it is and that pics did not do 'er justice. I asked if the reserve were in error and he confirmed he was seeking that amount. I told him I figured the truck was 11,500 to 13,000 new minus the accesories. He said it cost him 15,800 new before the running boards and toneau cover etc. But if no one met his reserve he would talk a different price.
I did not go trying to be a smart *** with him telling him that the truck was way over priced and since a new england truck I am sure it is not showroom condition underneath unless parked over fall, winter and spring each year. So if anyone want to know... he will consider offers over the phone...

Yeah I WAYYY agree TOOOOO steep for ANY 88! If ya'll want to stay on it... write down the number... He will come off but how far I do not know.... Good luck. That thing is a sweet ride but not for his $$$ I would go 6k but no higher!

it is a 4x4 truck and it should do what a truck is made for, hauling stuff and going off road.
to not use it for these things is doing it an injustice.
I see ya'lls point but when I NEED to go off road it is at the price of paint... I will likely be running 6 foot wide trails in excess of 20 mph with twists and turns... I would scar it in just one hunt! That truck would do good as a wet road 4X4 for the wife... I called to see where he stood as I figgered it was a ploy to say "hey hun I tried to sell it but I guess I am stuck with it..."
