I did a front brake job at the same time as I did the ball joints.
The new factory pads have anti-rattle springs while my original 1999 parts had none.
I put it back together the way it originally was and have no problems.
Is there a TSB for the springs and that is why Ford has them in the box with the new pads?
Do newer trucks have these springs?
