Another Tranny swap Please help!
OK guys I need some help decoding these two trannys. First things first the truck tranny # 1 came from was a 1991 f-150 4.9 IL6 (Crack) and tranny #2 Came from a 1990 302 V8. My intentions are as follows-replace my cracked Mazda m5od with this 5 speed “looks like a Mazda m50d”-(Just slight differences in the casings as you can see) I know they are different years but after reading all the many posts on V-8 trannys bolting directly up to IL6 motors this should work. My question is what can be done about the transfer cases? Tranny # 1 has a removable yoke while tranny #2 has a knuckle. Please help me out here guys, I can tell you everything about my 86 f-150 but this 91 parts stuff is all new to me! I hope I found a new used tranny that will work for my 91.

Yes, the tranny will bolt up fine. The transfer case problem is easily solved, just swap cases. They are interchangeable. You'll probably have to remove the case from the tranny anyway, unless you are putting the whole drivetrain in from the front.
