I was wondering if anyone has had cab lights added to their truck by a dealer or someone else and how much it cost them. I want to do this since my truck doesn't have the clearance lights from factory. When I went to the local dealership they wanted about $90 for the lights and harness and about $275 to install. Does this sound close your experience. I figured it wouldn't be this much since it's not that much to add from factory. Also what have you guys used to level out the stance of your trucks? Prices I have seen have ranged from $150 to $350? What is the main difference? It also appears that you need to get different shocks for these kits to work? Do you need to have an alignment done as well? Last thing that I was thinking about adding was a Truxedo Lo Pro tonneau cover. Anyone using this with any opinions? Thanks for all of your guys help, I really respect all of your opinions.

dont know much about the tonneau covers except that Truxedo is a good company along with retrax. Some also like Pace Edwards which is where I think Ill go.
As for the clearance light install, I think you can do it yourself if you want. Im sure somebody will chime in with some hints and directions they've used.
The lift or leveling kit thing, is hands down for DR. http://www.donahoeracing.com
Most people use their leveling kits and say that shocks arent necessary. You can go to www.trucktoyzperformance.com and check out some pics.
With this kit most just use a f350 block in the back. An alignment is always a good idea after any kind of lift. This kit is a bit more than $350 but from what I hear its worth it.
Good luck

If you are considering a Truxedo cover, now is a great time to buy it. We are running a rebate special for FTE members only. If you purchase a cover before the end of the month, contact me for a form to fill out and send it back with a copy of the receipt, and we will send you a check.
Thanks for the help so far guys. Anyone have any tips or tricks on installing the clearance lights? I am pretty sure that I can do it myself, but would just like a little advice or tips from someone with some experience. Thanks again!
Here is a link from a previous thread that looks like it has pretty good advice. It may be on an older truck so someone may have to confirm that it would work on your 05.
