Need jumpers for chip to work?

Tried to have a superchip installed (2000 4.6 F-150) and it would not start. I was told that the computer needed jumpers and that I'd have to send the computer to Superchips for them to install. Any other way around this? If Diablo and Superchips are superior to Hypertech PP III, I'd rather not have to resort to the later.

No way around it. Either the chip gets power or it doesn't. The jumper is the power jumper.
