mine are from an 05 power stroke..the girls and the flames i got from a chrome shop for big trucks...some guys wash there badges with some kind of acid..cant rememeber what it was..but it takes the paint off and makes them all chrome..if you just want them to shine and keep the paint..i use mothers chrome wheel polish..

You can use acetone to get the paint off.

Like the prior posts: acetone. Just did mine this weekend. TAPE OFF THE AREA VERY GOOD!!!! Use a toothbrush or small bristle paint brush. Very easy.

It comes off in a few minutes. When I did mine I taped off the area and had a garden hose ready every 30 seconds or so to keep washing down the tape making sure it did not get to the trucks paint. I used a foam brush so it would not drip everywhere, plus they are like 29cents.

I think a can is like $10 bucks or less at the local hardware store.
