$59 TPS, just the sensor

This was just posted on the OBS forums. It is just the Sensor instead of the whole ($$$) pedal assembly.

I found it here in these forums, action4478 is the guy that intoduced it. It's about time someone came up with a cheap alternative to that expensive piece

Dorman link is useless

I tried to go to Dorman for the TPS but they won't deal with the public and the retail number they gave me is a software company. Anyone have any ideas on where to get a TPS for a 1997 F350 Diesel?

You should be able to order it from most auto part stores that sell doorman products. Many of them do.

I loked at the listing and it says for 99-01 fords. Did they do away with them after 01 or is it a different part?

Thanks guys. I didn't think it would be available locally but autozone had it. TPS245 for $30. Beats the $400 pedal assembly the Ford stealership wanted.

Different part number. Try 699-203 it's on the second page of the pdf file I originally posted above.

You can get original factory sensor from http://fordparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html for $34.86.. It shows the same sensor for 99 thru 07. (use keywords.. electrical, powertrain controls, throttle position sensor, after putting in your year and model).
