I have a 2004 e-350 box truck with a 6.0 international and have been having a surge problem for quite a while. It surged intermittently starting about 8 months ago and the dealer was not ableto locate any problem. After seeing the information posted on the forum, i took the advice to unplug the egr and that solved the problem for about 3 months. With the egr unplugged the problem came back. The surging happens more when is it warmer outside. It is pretty constant at this point and is driving me crazy. I replaced the ebp sensor 2 weeks ago with no change. last weekend I check for any chafed wires and was not able to locate any. The biggest problem is that I can't leave it with the dealer for an extende period of time because i need the truck for work. Any info would greatly be apprecited.
take it to another dealer that will hook up a data recorder to it? unfortunetly to get it fixed you're probably gonna have to leave it at a dealer for a couple days. good luck.
The dealer I go to now did not want to put it in. They said they only do it as a last resort. Go figure. Can anyone refer me to a dealer on long island,NY that might know more about the 6.0
Check the ICP module and the harness connections to thissensor, had the same problem, surging and a misfire while driving. They replaced EGR valve, MAF, EBS and same problems.Only after they replaced the ICP did the truck run normal again.
I hope this helps.

Just got home from the dealer. They put the recorder on it and it was showing a problem with either the ipr or icp. After calling ford they unplugged the ipr while the truck was running rough and it cleared up. I drove the truck and so far so good. I go back tomorrow morning to have the sensor replaced. I have my fingers crossed. Thanks for the info.
It was actually the icp that they unplugged yesterday. I went bck this morning and they changed the icp. The truck runs like the day I got it. It felt like i just bought a new truck today. Thanks for the replies.
