Tail end shaft

Hey, Im building a 1974 ford f250 shortbox, with a 390, auto c6 and it has a divorced t-case. Where can i get a tail end shaft for it or what can i do? It only has like 8-10 inches between the tranny and t-case.

On both of these vehicles, The shaft between the case and tranny is only 6"-8" long. We fabbed it out of a junkyard driveshaft, cut and welded it to fit. It's real tight, you have to make sure when you measure it that you leave enough room to push the slip yoke all the way into the tranny, and still barely clear the transfer case yoke ears. This way, when you get the shaft in place, and pull the u-joint back into the transfer case yoke, you will have some spline left so the slip yoke won't bottom out. On a street driven truck, you would need to have this shaft balanced.
