Manifold Flanges

Ok, the stock manifolds are on, the truck starts and runs, but i need to fabricate a temp. exhaust so that i can get it tuned good, make sure that it ready to run on the road.

Any ideas what i can use for the meantime? Its a 1973 ford 460, stock manifolds.

One of the local shops said it would be $50/flange - too much in my mind.

You should be able to pick up a set of flanges at your local auto parts store. It's not like your building a set of custom headers or anything.

Whats a good rumbling muffler...FLowmaster 40....anything else?

Worse case check out a few scrap yards to use them in the mean time. For the muffler, you can listen to different mufflers on various supplier websites.
