No im not gonna go with sask power, it seems like too much of a hassle to get on. I mainly just want to get it to have something to do when i get fed up with working in the patch.
boy thats shocking... i got my first year of electrical too, but i've always had a passion for woodwork, so thats what i'm going to stick with. you'd have no trouble getting your ticket prep, they're crying for all trades lately!!
Yeah they have been crying, but the bad thing is, they dont pay a damn for any year of trade except for a journeyman. Even as a journeyman I wouldnt make close to what I make right now working in the patch.
Thats the only thing holding me back, is the lack of money.
I dunno sherm, last time I checked in sask, for a first year electrician it was only about 15 bucks an hour, and for a journeyman it was around 26. Supposedly an electrician is one of the highest paid trades too. I cant see how though.
as far as i know, the plumbers seem to rake in the most cash right now, next would be framers if they know what they're doing and can be efficient...then i would place electricians, drywall, finishers, painters, flooring...well, not necessairily though as i know some wealthy floor layers...
