Robbin' Peter to Pay Paul...

Got tired of fighting the VV carb and CA emissions system on this '82 F150/351W/C6. The thing MIGHT fire and idle for a few minutes about every third day.
Went scavenging through the garage, and found the 1969 351W that came out of a wrecked '69 Mustang. Pulled the single points distributor out, installed it into the pickup and heaved the LOS original equipment lump over the fence. Next thing to land in the alley was the vacuum lines, and whatever the heck they were hooked to, as well as the wiring harness and computer from under the seat.
Two barrel Holley that had spent a short time on a '67 F100 4X4 with 352 went on in place of the VV carb like it was meant to be there, the throttle cable, cruise, and kickdown for the C6 all fit perfect. Darned near hit a cat in the trash can with the VV carb after it flew over the fence!
Thunderboomers nailed me before I could finish buttoning the thing up, or I'd have fired it this afternoon after a total of 4 hrs. time spent on it.
Life is good in an emissions inspection exempt state.......

Amen Brother, It's not like there are as many of us out there as there are these idiot cell phone users, (who kill people by negligance,) or these frequent flyer a-holes burning up about 2-3 years worth of our hot rods fossil fuel every hour, so Southwest can have a flight leaving every 30 mins , that really present a threat to our modern exsistense as we know it.We just want to go fast on the ground ,occasionally , they want to take us to the end of our resourses as fast as is profitable for them
