08 Mirrors!

Well I took the plunge after arguing with TNT that I hated his 08 mirrors.. I got em.. I didn't get the Power Tele or Fold, ended up just getting the same setup I had on my other ones.. Power, Power Heat and Turn Signal.. I don't have much use for auto extend or fold in..

Take Care,
The Power Fold/Tele is 1100.. We are still working on a solution for that.. Right now Bill and I have come to the conlusion you'll have to mount two switches in order to activate the power fold/tele.. Right now we are thinking of using the switches they put out for the Pedal Move.. Up would be extend/fold out and Down would be contract/fold in..

The mirror switches on our trucks however work just fine, except that the side ways movement of the mirror is flipped because ford put the motor on the opposite side of the mirror compared to the older models.. Bill's broke a set of mirrors trying to figure out how we can get in and move the motor..

Course that doesnt bother me.. I set my mirrors once and I never move em again..

LOL.. Yeah.. Thats why I skipped the Power part there.. I don't need extend (as I hardly tow anything wider then my truck), not the fold in.. I'm pretty good at not whacking my mirrors.. Course these are tad bit larger

They really good on your SD. Since you have the larger tires and all the mods. They seem to fit well.

So does that mean to adjust the mirror out...You have to use the in? And visa versa?

Couldn't just moving the wires on the switch to correct that? I don't know...since I have never even looked at the switch (just thinking out loud here).

I fold mine in all the time, that is why it would be cool for me. I have to fold the drivers side in to miss the tree, and clear the side of the garage when backing in. Once inside, I usually fold the pass side in so that no one whacks their head walking by.. ( mainly me )

All the time I pull out and forget to push out the pass side.. Gotta stop, get out ect..

So that would be really trick, but I got something else in mine that costs about that....

Like someone else asked, couldn't you just switch the power/ground on the mirror to change the movement?

I can't make up my mind on whether I like these or not. I"ll have to go see them in person.

Any market for the old mirrors off my 05?

Looks good Storm !!!

Biggziff I posted in my install about the reverse direction. There's a common hot .. then signal for left right, signal for up down. I tried every combination of re-wiring and it would not work .. the only way to fix it would be to reverse the polarity on the motor, and I didn't want to take the mirror apart.

Thanks guys.. I love em...

I'm just glad the old mirrors had power heat and turn signals.. It was less wiring I had to do unlike TNT who got screwed there.. He had to run his wiring for them
