lost over drive
Driving today and it just woul not shift into od. like it is not even tring hen the od light started blining. TC? Or internal probs. 01 f350 105000mi 7.3. any ideas.

For only $10.49 you can get a new VSS (located on top of your rear-end) from www.napaonline.com P/N 530780 (Napa calls it a ABS sensor).. Mine went bad at 65K and i replaced the sensor and it has been good for over a year now..

P0783 a SSA, SSB or Internal Transmission Components 3-4 shift error. Engine rpm drop not detected when 3-4 shift was commanded by PCM. Incorrect gear selection depending on failure mode and transmission range selector lever position. Refer to the Solenoid Operation Chart. Shift errors may also be due to other internal transmission concerns such as stuck valves or damaged friction material. May flash TCIL.
