Diesel swap return lines
i am swapping a 300 for a 6.9
is it possible to use the charchol canister hardline as a return? i have gotten rid of the canister and all the junk, but it goes right to the fuel tank.....
what about setting up the returnline to where it goes back into the fuel line at the filter or pre lift pump?
or do i need to go all the way back to the tank and bend a new set of lines?
how much pressure is the return system under?
minimum line diameter?
i am open for ideas. so let me hear them guys......
thanks
DT
Return pressure max 5 psi...... 5/16" line for returns......... 3/8" for inlet
If you have only one tank it would be simplest to use anything as the return as long as it is DIESEL fuel capable. There should also be a check valve on the return line in the tank. Check your tank to ensure it is also Diesel fuel capable......NO Galvanized coating inside.....

it will handle it.....i am putting a D60 under the front end, the frame is from an HD F250 4x2. the 1/2 ton frame was twisted in some freak hay hauling incident before i bought it. i have the title for both the frame and the cab. It still has the D44 TBB right now with coils, i guess thats why they went with a 2x frame. idk. the frame is good to go so are the springs. thats taken care of.
where can i get a checkvalve for fuel return? i guess that would stop air from getting back in, but where do i dump the return fuel?
thanks
