My brother bought a new laptop a few months ago and it came with Windows VISTA. He was using it yesterday and his 1 and a half year old son came over and put his hands all over the keyboard.
He had managed to somehow make it so the screen had rotated 90* to the left. What is weird is that the mouse touchpad on the laptop has to be used 90* to the left as well now. It's weird.
I haven't seen the problem he just told me about it. Anyone have any ideas? I am still using XP so not sure how VISTA works.
" Vista, even on a non-tablet PC, has a Tablet PC section under control panel. Head there and you’ll find screen rotation settings where you’re able to pop the display back to landscape.
"
That might be a Function Key command to rotate the screen orientation as well (part of the laptop's hardware). You can access the display properties by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting what you want to do from there.
Thanks guys. Both of you pretty much nailed it. He said it is working now. I figured it was something in Display Properties or something but didn't have the computer in front of me. Thanks again!
