This is just a note to let everyone know how my experience went with Ken on my purchase of a Diablo Chip. First of all, I ordered my chip with the code AEO1 from Ken and I received it when I was told I would. I imediately installed the chip with no luck. The chip felt as though it didn't make any difference and it would miss after 60mph. I called Ken the next day and explained the problem and was informed that the particular code I had was a finicky (sp?)code. Ken immediately sent me another one with no questions asked.I received the second one and the problem was still there. The engine felt as though it was stopped up and there was no power increase. Although the 60mph miss was gone. I once again called Ken and once again he immediately sent me another one. This time the third one was a charm. I have ran this chip for about 2 weeks now and the only problem I see is that my gas mileage has gone down I'm not sure what is causing this problem but let me say that I am getting places alot quicker than before! To make this story short I just want to say thanks Ken for the help and the work you put into this to solve my problem.
AEO1 can be a nightmare. Superchips has more consistant code for it but you pay out the wazoo for Superchips V10 chips. Diablo, well, its been weird. One time a customer had a jumping RPM guage, another a no-start not associated with reflashing, another with engine misses, etc. It looks like this code may finally be nailed in its 4 bank version.
The best thing is Diablo has had VERY good performance results with the V10! Your mileage issues... well the chip runs the engine richer near and at wide open throttle. If you can keep your foot out of the throttle you should see the same or better mileage. The problem is keeping your foot out... its too much fun!
