Distribitor?!?!?

OK now thatim learning a lil bout electricty?! my stock dist can only push the 12,000 volts, but i have a msd blaster 2 and msd 6A that are producing upwards of 45,000 volts....WHO MAKES A AFTER MARKET DISTRIBITOR????

Mallory makes a dual point, and Davis Unified makes an electronic. That, or a Duraspark setup with the MSD bo

instructions say how to do it).

If you run MSD, you also need to open up the plug gap to .044-.045" to use that extra voltage.

I was running A Mallory UNILITE 47 series unit Mallory part #4563101 for 2 or 2 1/2 years, and the Ignition Module went bad.

It cost $373.99 new, and the UNILITE® Ignition Module, part number 605, is around a $100.

The stock distributor being powered by a MSD 6A box and Blaster 2 coil is doing just fine in the spark department.
