Hello!
I was on this site a few years ago and am back. I am a dyed in the wool ford enthusiast, but not to the point of ignorence. I would love to see Ford dominate the truck and car world but am not so blind that I can't see that they do not dominate, and for very good reasons. In my opinion, the competition is better in several areas and I am hoping Ford will remedy this situation, and fast. We are underpowered by the rest and that doesn't sit well with me. I am talking about F-150's btw. 400 hp from the factory would be a great start. Maybe increasing the 5.4 to a 6.2 or better as an option would be a way to gain the best horsepower of the bunch?
I neglected to say that a 6-speed automatic transmission would be a great help as well. And while I am at it, maybe focusing more on what trucks are all about as opposed to building "grocery getters". Having a luxurious truck is great, but having a tough, workhorse is what made Ford #1 and that is the only way they will stay #1 if they still are #1.
Welcome to FTE! I'm sure you'll find everyone here as helpful as ever, and If you get a chance i'd suggest you join your local chapter. That will get you more information and in touch with some people who live in your area.
