p1309 code 4.0 OHV after engine swap
I had the engine swapped in my 2000 explorer
after which I started having CEL with codes P1309
and oxygen sensor code. I didn't have these problems
before the swap. The mechanic who did the swap
says he re-timed the cam position sensor but the
code came back about 70 miles later. Engine
seems to run OK with just a touch of roughness
at idle.
I did a google search on the code and one claim was
the computer needs to be reset (not just via disconnecting
battery) if it has been changed.
I am not sure if the mechanic swapped the ECM as well
but I don't think so. I
I have a call in to him to re-address the problem but he
is off on vacation.
Any good words?
Thanks,

P1309 Misfire Detection Monitor not enabled
That one is a bit trouble some, because it says not enabled, I would believe this a ECM calibration issue or the ECM is not receiving a signal it expects and is disabling misfire detection on it's own. I think the second is most likely, the mechanic may not have reconnected everything or if the CPS is solving the problem for short stents, the replacing it might be the cure.
The O2 problem could be a bad sensor or the harness swapped so the post cat sensor is reading pre-cat and vice versa.
