Coming up on 50k and starting to see a bit of yellow on my air filter minder. All things considered, I probably don't have to change the filter, but I want to anyway. The local dealer wants $71.65 for the OEM Motorcraft. Is there a cheaper option?
What about IH? On a previous post, it was said that IH uses a different intake and that Donaldson is the OEM manufacture of the 'Powercore' air filter.
Unfortunately, I live in Alaska and most of the sponsors here will only ship via UPS. UPS to Alaska for this part is $32.64 (diselfiltersonline.com). I'll look around a bit though...maybe find one willing to ship via USPS. Thanks.

I think your Wal-Mart should have it. About $60 last time I checked here in the lower 48. If there is an IH truck dealer anywhere close you might check with them.
I'm in AK too.....yes Walmart does carry our air filters, but they are about $70 too. We do get hosed on shipping costs here. I would be very surprised if a parts supplier stuck to his free shipping quote when shipping here. I have been buying parts for my hotrods forever and never had a vendor ship to AK for free. The free shipping offered is usually for the Contigious 48 states. $70 bucks every couple years isn't too awful bad to keep a vehicle in air filters though. =)
