I've tried and tried over and over again to get this noise to go away. When I press on the pedal it makes this dry rubber seal squeaking noise that WILL NOT go away!! Then when I left off the brake it makes the same damn noise. It's really annoying when im in city traffic and thats all I hear is the squeaking.
I've located the noise and it's right behind the brake pedals where the push rod goes through the firewall. I've pulled back the rubber boot and two foam seals. I sprayed inside of this area liberally with PB Blaster and WD-40 which did nothing. I think it's further inside the booster like maybe some dried out o-rings. It has been getting worse and worse as the days go by and I've noticed that the brakes are getting harder to push down the pedals.
That's what im afraid of. I'm gonna have a mechanic look at it and see what he thinks. It may just need to be greased up a little. I may need a new freakin' booster! That would suck. I'm tearing into the rear brakes tomorrow and changing out the diff fluid.
