Civil War buffs
My Dad and I recently went to Andersonville Prison here in Georgia. Growing up I lived right next to Bull Run Battlefield Park (Virginia). Spent many many days and hours there.
He and I have been to many civil war battle field parks over the years. It is sad that they are being destroyed by development.
Andersonville was very thought provoking. The cemetery is almost as moving as Arlington National Cemetery.
If you are a Civil war buff like us, make Andersonville a stop on your calender.

I live close to Fort Point, which was built during the American Civil War to defend against the passage of enemy warships into the Golden Gate and the bay.

There would be something wrong with building a house on these lands. I have only been to Antietam and it was very thought provoking. I can only imagine a place like Andersonville. Pearl Harbor is the same way. I have been there three times and each time I get a very strange feeling about the area.
