Question Washer Fluid Basin???

Shouldn't there be a basin for my washer fluid on my '78 Ford F150? I can't find it and am wondering if the guy who rebuilt it left it out??

They probably left it out. I took mine out since I never used the washers, and it was pretty beat up. They're normally located on the driver side inner fenderwell right above the steering box (on my 78 at least).

I got a new one recently from one of our sponsors but I don't recall which one.

Was it hard to install? Is there a hose to the wiper motor or sprayer motor to hook up?

Spray nozzles are up in the cowl vents and the pump is integral to the reservoir.

There should be some in the boneyards - tell them you want the pump too. Check to see if your pump power plug is still resting in the fenderwell area somewhere, and if not, get the plug with some of the pigtail wire too. Also, make them check for leaks before you fork over the cash - got burned on my first one - didn't check, drove 38 miles home to find out it leaked. They traded it out, but wasted time and fuel. :/

NOCO, I went and checked and I found a 'two-prong' looking plug. It is a small black one and comes out of the wiring that ends up at the head light. Is this the plug that is for the reservoir? Thanks.

Yea, its probably it - it may have an all-weather o-ring around it - I think mine did, oval shaped plug if I recall, I'd have to go look...

yeah, it was a different shape, with two side plastic clasps on it. Not a very heavy duty plug or wiring. The plug is about the size of Jolly Rancher or a little bigger.

Yeah, I think you've found it - doesn't need to be very big - low current draw on the little pump

Also, keep in mind that the pump will NOT come with the reservoir. It has to be purchased separately.
