Ken at MotorHaven needs the code to set up my SCT, he said its 3 letters and 1 number that was to be on the door post but I can't find it. any suggestions where I can find it?
It should be on the pcm. Take a light & look under the dash on the passenger side above the kickpanel. It should also be on a sticker on the door too. Mine has a sticker that says calibration with 3 letters & a number on it.
You will like the SCT tuning. I got mine a few weeks back.It has great power & shifting plus I'm getting about 2 mpg better gas mileage.
The door sticker usually falls off after a year or so. I have never been able to see the code on the pcm while it was still in the truck.
Removal is easy though. There is a 10mm in the middle of the big harness under the hood at the firewall just below the brake booster. As you loosen that bolt the harness will start to pull away, make sure you take it all the way off. Then remove the driveside kick panel, I can't remember if the bolts are 8mm or 10mm, but there are three to remove and the PCM will come right out. Installation is the reverse. I had done enough to where it was only a 5 minute job.
