and he's running the stock forged rods??? what can the forged rods hold up to safely.

also strokin how does your BTS compare to what you had before.

ive heard the stockers can hold up to 400-475 ish...475 is maybe pushin the limits a bit.

Even with treated and cryoed forged rods, i wouldn't feel safe pushing it over 500-525hp if it was my money invested in the motor. Maybe a rod bent or let go, on page 128 of the new Diesel Power, it has the caption of " Bryan Kinney's 00 Ford F-350 was good enough for second place in the Modified sled pulls and put the truck into "limp home" mode with a nasty-sounding rod knock. Once he gets the truck rebuilt, we'll run a feature on his hot-rod diesel."

Thanks for the kind words Randy. Maybe someday I'll know as much about these trucks as you. I think the only thing you need from me is Stacks!

We are really proud of Austin, his truck looked great in the mag. But he's killin' me with this tranny. He won't let me start makin' bigger power for him until he has it. That takes some real patients in our world. But I have no doubt when he has a tranny that can hold it, that gold truck will be rollin' some coal.
